HuffPo Goes All In For Dental Implantology

Dental implantology is a field on the rise, as more and more people are learning about the vast benefits and affordable beauty of these permanent devices.

Now the Huffington Post is getting into the game, publishing a ringing endorsement of dental implants, and offering an explainer for any newcomers who may be interested in checking out the option:

As told by the Academy of General Dentistry, a dental implant is an artificial tooth “root” artificially placed in your mouth to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown, denture or bridge. It is made from titanium metal and it fuses around the jawbone serving as a root for the missing tooth.

This is by presently the best – if not the only long-term option for tooth replacement.

This is an article that goes into some rare depth about the why and how of dental implants, including a numbered list of benefits which covers everything from easier eating to implants’ proven tendency to protect the natural teeth around them. It’s worth a read to learn why implantology is taking off, and to use as a template when you describe these devices to your own patients.
