Day 1: INTRODUCTION TO IMPLANTOLOGY

Day 3: LIVE PATIENT SURGERY
- Participants must bring their own patient
- Course Supervision provided by Course Director of Faculty
Course Overview:
After completing the course, clinicians will be able to:
- Recognize anatomical limitations and minimize potential for complications
- Determine which patients are candidates for dental implants
- Perform an implant surgery
- Restore implant cases
Dr. Naomi Nguyen – Course Director
Dr. Naomi Nguyen graduated from University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry. From there, she continued her Periodontology training at University of Nebraska Medical Center. During her time there, she received extensive training in all aspects of Periodontics and Implantology. She is well-versed in all phases of implant therapy from treatment planning to restoration of simple to complex implant cases. Dr. Nguyen achieved diplomat status of the American Board of Periodontology after having successfully passed a rigorous writing and oral examination.
Dr. Nguyen is passionate about teaching and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California. In 2014, she was voted Faculty of the Year for the Division of Periodontology by her students. In 2015, she was awarded the American Academy of Periodontology’s 2015 Educator Award for Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics. Dr. Nguyen is a member of the AAP, ADA, CDA and OCDS.
In her free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys playing badminton and spending time with family and friends.
